Over the years we have received hundreds of emails and phone calls regarding lens issues. After extensive research we have found one common thread…the lenses that customers were having crafted at other labs across the country we’re not being made correctly.

If you choose to have your lenses made at another lab there is chance that your lenses will not be made to the correct specifications. We know because we either repair or re-do them daily. Unfortunately, the additional cost of the lenses typically falls upon the customer. It is very important to understand that eyeglass frames are sold in perfect condition. It is only after the lenses are made at outside lab facilities that we have seen issues, which is why we use Lab Italee. Lab Italee is the official lab that represents Kazuo Kawasaki eyewear.

There are the two recurring issues we have found. (1) the Kazuo Kawasaki frame is engineered with a screw-less design, so the holes mounting the frame to the lens must be drilled precisely. If your lens appear to be loose, then your local lens lab drilled the holes to large. (2) a specific lens material is highly recommended for this rimless design. If an inferior lens material is used, then there is a good chance that your lens will crack near the drilled holes.
